As we master the foundational HumanaNatura techniques of Natural Eating and Natural Exercise – outlined here via our Meals and Fitness pages – we soon better appreciate and prepare ourselves to pursue other natural health opportunities waiting in the flow or course of all our lives.

These higher-order opportunities for health primarily involve our daily outlooks and longer-term plans and life patterns. In practice, they encourage new personal health and self-awareness and increasing personal alignment with key dynamics of natural life, especially the adaptive or progressive quality that is natural phenomenon of health. Importantly, these opportunities for greater health lie almost entirely outside the time we spend eating and exercising.

Our progressive health opportunities include the way we work and spend our leisure time, the quality of our relationships and interactions with others, and the goals and ideas we use to structure our time and outlook. HumanaNatura calls the planned or intentional pursuit of these powerful and open-ended opportunities for new health and well-being, Natural Living, the third and most personal technique of our four-part Natural Health System.

Natural Life Plans

The personalized but organized pursuit of healthier and higher quality life is discussed in detail in the Natural Living section of our Personal Health Program. In HumanaNatura’s Natural Health System, this effort includes the essential modern health practice of creating, implementing, and periodically refining what we call a Natural Life Plan.

Unlike informal goal-setting or improvised personal changes, natural life planning with HumanaNatura utilizes seven regularly repeated steps, each designed to ensure that we develop our unique expression of healthy life as steadily and optimally as possible. HumanaNatura’s planning process helps us to identify and pursue our most compelling opportunities for greater personal health, overcome natural health limiters and barriers we inevitably face, and creatively seek ways we can act to ensure lifelong progressivity and growth.

HumanaNatura’s seven-step process for creating and refining a Natural Life Plan is based on proven life-improvement practices from cognitive-behavioral science. Seven Steps To New Life

Each time we begin a new Natural Life Plan, a natural health self-assessment is combined with a creative vision of greater personal health and quality of life, which are then used to formulate a revised set of health and life advancing goals. HumanaNatura’s seven steps for creating a Natural Life Plan are easy to understand in principle and put into practice in our lives:

  1. Assess – the high and low terrain of our current health landscape
  2. Envision – positively describing a more optimal life and personal mission
  3. Describe – our life as it is today, especially as it relates to our vision
  4. Formulate – a new Natural Life Plan, focusing on needed goals and actions
  5. Review – our Natural Life Plan, especially planned actions and their timing
  6. Implement – creatively and pragmatically acting toward our new goals
  7. Evaluate – our plan actions and results, using key lessons to plan again
